Fauquier Baptist Church is a young church which has been meeting for four years at 10550 James Madison Highway (U.S. 29) Bealeton, Virginia. This young church own the property upon which it is situated and is still under renovation. Major improvements are scheduled for this year. Our present sanctuary seats 100 adults and there is a seperate children's church for ages 3-12. A nursery is provided for infants and children to age 3.

Fauquier Baptist Church is a Bible believing, Gospel preaching church, with a genuine love for all people, true and fundamental in Bible doctrine. The church is bold in its pro-life, pro-creation, pro-God stance, not ashamed to speak out on national issues that contradict the Word of God. This church uses and recommends the King James Bible. The church, a Southern Baptist Church and a member of the Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia, is commonly referred to as "a Gospel Lighthouse in the midst of liberalism."

Additionally, the church hold regular services at Oak Springs Nursing Home and at the Blue Ridge Christian Home.

The church provides Biblical Counseling for anyone having difficulties along the road of life

As a service to the community, several times yearly the church offers a six-week structured "Beginners Guitar" class and "Beginners 5-string Banjo" class. The next guitar class is sceduled to begin 14 April.

About Our Pastor

Our Pastor is Dr. James M. Branyon, from Anderson, South Carolina. His wife is the former Betty Lou Payne, the daughter of the late Clarence L. Payne of Orlean, Virginia. Our Pastor has deep roots in the Cherokee Indian Nation. Before God's calling to the Pastorate, he served in the United States Air Force, he is a Vietnam Veteran, and was a banker. Our Pastor is a seminary graduate, and has earned many other diplomas and certificates in Biblical studies and Christian Counseling. Our Pastor is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Our Pastor offers his time and support to all those who are in need of prayer and comfort from God's Word, Spiritual guidance, or counseling. He is sensitive to the needs of this community, and especially the sick and shut-ins.

Pastor Branyon is a knowledgeable down to earth person with a kind word for all. On behalf of the membership, our Pastor extends a hardy invitation for all to come, regardless of religious affiliation, to worship our Lord at this young church.
